Mythic Realms 0.4.2 Progress Report


Hey everyone! 

Thank you for your patience. I know its been a while since my last update. Being a sole creator is never easy especially when juggling work and personal life. But i wanted to give you an update of things currently worked on in the next update. 

Im getting a lot of quality of life things done that have optimized the game including the use of tabs for HUDs. Should work just like your browser for things like the game editor including drag and drop to create a new window or reorder a current one. This not only made it look better than 20 menus open at once, but also made the game run smoother consolidating everything into a single modular UI. As a result HUDs load faster, are customized to their layout still, and are persistent. Refreshing HUDs was the real bonus here, as the new HUD layout made it so only active HUDs got the refresh. While all non operational HUDs no longer needed information refreshed.

Characters can move! lol i created a simple click and go here for now. I hope to improve this with something better in the future. But its a simple fix for now.

Ive talked about the drag and drop feature and quick actions already in a previous post. But essentially you can map actions to quick actions and use the bottom hot bar to enact them. When combat is finished players will easily be able to attack without needed convoluted menus like before :3

Something i couldn't have before until now was a consistent editor check. Players logging out would keep whatever they were editing "open". This caused other players still online unable to edit an item. With the new HUDs its now easy to close all active tabs and therefore removing the problem.

~Set warnings to auto populate for easy hide.
~Changed the bottom bar to display quick action slots and dice show/hide
~Fixed world inventory to allow dropping items and grouping them up with close similar items. 
~Fixed gamebar associating with current character. Now it should respond with the selected viewed character.
~Changed "Set Hud To Top" to also set on mouse down via header

~Removed full load on ini for all huds. fixing both speed and refresh rate.
~Fixed refresh all huds, Now only huds requiring refresh will execute the command.

Bugs Squashed -

~Fixed an optimization issue with grid tiles. Main location didnt delete old grids
~Fixed New Character Attribute Levels using old level calculator
~Fixed New Character turn info not displaying. 
~Fixed dice rolls issuing more than one command
~Fixed loading performances. Recreated the layouts of every hid to contain bare minimum code. Now all hud code shared between each is stored in one place.
~Fixed options menu button "Reset Tutorials"
